Rowena Guanzon, ipinaliwanag bakit nag-beastmode siya sa viral video: “Nag Super Saiyan talaga ang lola mo”

- In an online post, Congresswoman Guanzon said she blew her top when some festival attendees subjected her “pamangkins” to vile treatment while on their way to her house

- The feisty Congresswoman, upon learning what happened, immediately went to the said location where the incident happened and confronted the alleged perpetrators

- One of the companions of the festival attendees was able to capture a video of the incident, which immediately went viral and somehow found its way to a local online news outlet Digicast Negros

Rowena Guanzon, a well-known former COMELEC Commissioner and at present a P3PWD Party List representative, recently explained why she went on a “beastmode” during the Dinagsa Festival in Cadiz City.

The feisty congresswoman is a resident of the said city and used to be its Mayor before being appointed to various government positions including the Commission on Audit and the COMELEC.

In a post on her official Facebook account, Congresswoman Guanzon explained that she blew her top when some festival attendees subjected her “pamangkins” to vile treatment while on their way to her house.

“Biruin mo, pinapunta ko yung pamangkin ko papunta sa bahay ni para kumain. Tapos bandang street na namin, bigla ba namang may yumakap at humipo sa maselang parte ng katawan eh hindi naman sanay yung bata at nangatog at nung pinush yung gunawa at nadapa ay pinag susuntok na mga pamangkin. Mga 7 or 8 daw sila tapos may mga babae pang kasama na lasing na sumusuntok sa likod, na di naman nila pwede gantihan,” part of her statement read.

“Dami nilang wounds dahil sa gulo pero magagamot naman agad yun eh, ang pinakamalala dito eh yung trauma na binigay nila. Nung nalaman ko yung nangyari, Siyempre super protective ang tita bing kaya nag super saiyan talaga ang lola mo, award sa kakatalak! Sa tanda kong to' gusto pa ko patulan?!” the Congresswoman wrote in her post.

The incident was captured on video by one of the companions of the alleged perpetrator, however, Congresswoman Guanzon said it didn’t tell the whole story as they only uploaded the parts that benefited them.

The video has, since then, gone viral and was picked up by local online news outlets.

One of these news outlets, Digicast Negros, was able to get the side of the one who took the video and also showed the viral video within their report.

According to Congresswoman Guanzon, she is bent on filing cases against the perpetrators, adding that two of them are already in jail.

“Nasa jail na ang dalawa. And we are filing cases against them. Grabe ginawa nila,” she wrote in her post.

“Isa siguro yan sa dapat tutukan sa mga fiesta,” the Congresswoman said.

Maria Rowena Amelia Villena Guanzon, is a Filipina lawyer. She is a public servant and politician. She served COMELEC from 2015 to 2022.

Last month, Congresswoman Guanzon invited Alex Gonzaga to her home city's Dinagsa festival in Negros Occidental. The former commissioner said that her home city, Cadiz City in Negros Occidental, will be having its Lamhitanay sa Dalan for the Dinagsa Festival. She said that it is legal to smear paint on the faces of people. Guanzon further urged the vlogger to come because it is fun and if she does, she would just have to watch out for the former commissioner.

Last year, she also took to Facebook and made a cryptic post about a girl. The solon described her as a "manipulative sadgurl" without naming names. Prior to the said post, she also made a cryptic post about people who activate the pa-victim card and with matching "iyak-iyak." In both posts, there was no mention whether she was referring to any popular personality or they were simply her hugot lines delivered to her followers.
