PNP, walang nakikitang problema sa imbestigasyon ng NBI ukol sa kaso ni Jovelyn Galleno
- The Philippine National Police (PNP) has released a statement regarding the parallel investigation conducted by the NBI on the death of Jovelyn Galleno
- It stated that it has no problem with the said investigation, considering that the aim of both agencies is to find justice for the victim
- PNP already confirmed that the skull and bones recovered from the site in Palawan were of Jovelyn's following a positive result of the DNA examination
- The NBI would also be conducting its own DNA examination, although it already stated previously that the results given by PNP are reliable

The Philippine National Police (PNP) has already released a statement with regard to the investigation conducted by the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) regarding the death of Jovelyn Galleno.
It stated in Radyo Bandera Philippines that the PNP sees no problem in the investigation conducted by the NBI.
The PNP also said that they, along with the NBI, have the same purpose and that is to give justice to the victim.
PNP has already stated that the DNA examination result on the skull and bones retrieved in Palawan were a 99.99% match with that of Jovelyn's.

Jovelyn Gallano is a 22-year-old employee working in a mall in Palawan. She went missing on August 5. According to her sister, her employer said that Jovelyn already signed out from her work around 6:30 p.m. on that day. She was still able to send a message to her sister but she wasn’t able to go home anymore.
The National Bureau of Investigation in Palawan stated that the DNA examination result released by PNP on the death of Jovelyn Galleno is reliable. Based on the result of the DNA examination by the PNP, it was a 99.99% match with that of Jovelyn's. According to the NBI Palawan, the samples used by PNP passed through the National PNP experts. The samples were sent from Puerto Princesa, and such results could not easily be manipulated, as per the NBI.
A video of the mother and sister of Jovelyn Galleno has gone viral. They were left in tears after the DNA examination result was revealed to them by the PNP. The mother of Jovelyn was wiping her tears as she was on her way out of the police office where they came to know of the results. PNP has already confirmed that the skull and bones, initially suspected to be of Jovelyn's, were actually hers.
