- Numer Lobo, the city administrator of Tarlac, issued the city's official statement where it denied accusations regarding the tent-covering incident
- He said that the city is denying any intention to disrespect the memory of Ninoy Aquino and it claimed that in the original photo, it could be seen that there was a "considerable distance" between the tent and the statue
- The statement also cited that the heat of the sun caused the people to seek shelter in the tent, which then caused it to inadvertently move

The city government of Tarlac has expressed its condemnation of the incident where the monument of Ninoy Aquino was blocked by a tent during the grand rally of BBM.
The photos quickly became viral on social media and have garnered a lot of reactions from netizens.
Thereafter, the city government of Tarlac, through its city administrator, Atty. Nuber Lobo, said that they are denying that it was intentional.

“The incident was inadvertent, nothing intentional.
“It is just unfortunate that despite the wide range of platforms discussed and delivered by the candidates present and the overwhelming reception and welcome to the UniTeam, others just chose to spread divisiveness and highlighted this unintended and unintentional incident, which is not reflective of the whole event and contradictory to its message of hope, positivity and unity."

Bituin Escalante took to Twitter and condemned the manner by which the monument of Ninoy Aquino was covered by the roof of the tent. The roof was placed so near the monument of Ninoy that one could not see what it looked like anymore. The tent was used by the BBM-Sara grand rally in Tarlac. "Ano na namang kahangalan ito?" asked the singer.
In an old report, the statue of the late Senator Ninoy Aquino has already been taken down from the corner of Quezon and Timog Ave. It could possibly be transferred to the Ninoy Aquino Parks and Wildlife. The transfer of the statue already had the blessings of the Aquino family.
