As per Athena Imperial's report on GMA News "24 Oras Weekend" on Saturday, the mother of the baby revealed that they went to the health center on Dec. 29 for a pneumoccocal vaccine, however, it was the COVID vaccine that was administered accidentally.
Fever set in after the baby was vaccinated.
The mother fears that there might be a long-term effect on her baby.

"Yung future effect po kay baby kasi siyempre, baby pa 'to. So 'yung mga internal organs niya baka hindi kaya 'yung gamot, Puwede ba itong maging cause ng pagiging special child?" asked the mother.
The LGU is investigating the incident and the child is being monitored as well.
Health Undersecretary Myrna Cabotaje reminded implementers that the refrigerator of COVID-19 vaccines should be different from the regular vaccines.
She also stated that labels must be huge enough so that implementers will not get confused.
