Carmina Villaroel cries as Mavy Legaspi shares his thoughts on his mom’s bashers

During last Saturday’s episode of the GMA program "Sarap, 'Di Ba?," actress Carmina Villarroel couldn't hold back her tears as her son, Mavy Legaspi, addressed criticisms about their family.

The emotional moment unfolded when Mavy spoke up about the bashers accusing his mother of being a controlling parent. Despite the negativity, Mavy expressed his belief that their family doesn't need to retaliate against the bashers, suggesting they might be facing their own struggles and they also have mothers who they love.

Praising Carmina for her resilience and unwavering love, Mavy's words touched her mom deeply.

“Kayang-kaya mo. ‘Di na kailangan magsalita, ‘di na kailangan i-justify or fight the criticism. Lahat ng criticisms or hate kasi wala ‘yun, bored lang sila sa buhay nila.

“At the end of the day, I know in their hearts, kahit may criticism whatsoever, they all have their own mothers that they love. We don’t need to fight back.

“It looks like na hindi tayo lumalaban we don’t need to. Kasi yung biggest strength that you have is deep inside there na. Hindi nakikita ng mga tao.

“‘Yung mga nakikita ng [mga] tao is mga posts, mga comments, interviews, and all that. Pero hindi nila nakikita ang anong laman ng puso ni Mama and that’s my biggest blessing,” Mavy said.

Carmina Villarroel-Legaspi is a Filipina actress and endorser. Her full name is María Carmina Muñiz Villarroel-Legaspi, married to actor Zoren Legaspi. They are blessed with two kids, twins Mavy and Cassy Legaspi. The veteran actress has already starred in several TV projects, including Super Ma'am, Sarap, Di Ba?, Kara Mia and Abot-Kamay Na Pangarap. She is among the top-rated actresses of GMA.

In the caption, the celebrity mom expressed her heartfelt wish for the birthday celebrant.

Carmina and Zoren’s twins, Cassy and Mavy Legaspi turned 23 last January. Zoren then took to social media and posted a greeting for his children. In his post, the celebrity dad penned a moving message about praying. “He knows your heart..don’t go astray,” Zoren stressed. Along with the message, the veteran actor also uploaded a lovely family photo captured from the twins' birthday celebration.
