Alden Richards, during a mediacon for “Battle of the Judges,” revealed that was offered by GMA to guest in TAPE’s “Eat Bulaga” and ABS-CBN’s “It’s Showtime.”
In a report by Inquirer, Alden said he already told GMA Network’s Senior Vice President Annette Gozon-Valdes, one of the reality show’s judges, that his loyalty is with Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, Joey de Leon, and the Dabarkads.
“Sabi ko, ‘Ms. Annette, ngayon pa lang po, sasabihin ko na po na everything that has happened in the noontime world natin ngayon sa Pilipinas… Kumbaga, alam niyo naman po kung saan ako galing.’ Alam niyo po ‘yung, of course, in terms of yung relationship na meron ako, siyempre po, nandito po yun sa TVJ and sa ‘Eat Bulaga.’”
However, the actor clarified that he is open to promoting “Battle of the Judges” in the noontime shows currently airing on GMA and GTV.

“But let me clarify lang po, na not necessarily means hindi po ako magiging regular or guest with these noontime shows, is hindi po ako puwedeng mag-promote ng shows na meron po ako under GMA.”
“So if it’s about promo, Ok po. Pero as a guest or regular host, baka hindi po muna.”
As per Abante, Alden likewise expressed sadness that TVJ and their co-hosts had to transfer to a different network, which is TV5.
“Personally I was, of course, very sad na `yun nga, na the whole management decided to you know, transferring to a different network.”
“I love this whole group of people. Matagal ko silang kasama. It’s a good 6 or 7 years of my entire career… I’m 11 turning 12 years in the industry, so most likely kalahati ng buhay ko sa industriya nasa ‘Eat Bulaga!’ ako.”
“Of course wala akong karapatan makialam sa desisyon ng management dahil isa lang akong empleyado. Pero sa personal kong damdamin, o puso, malungkot nga ako, kasi hindi na ako makakabalik sa pamilya na almost half of my career kasama ko.”
According to Pilipino Star Ngayon’s report, Alden underscored that he remains friends with the “E.A.T.” hosts despite being unable to appear in the Kapatid show.
Jake Ejercito, di dapat ikahiya ang pag-shop at pagsuot ng damit galing ukay-ukay: “There's no shame in ukay”
“But we still remain friends, even off cam. But ‘yun nga po, yung opportunity na makalipat muli, makita po sa TV5, medyo yun po kasi ang… of course, hindi lang naman po GMA ang merong ganung exclusivity.”
Eat Bulaga is the longest-running noontime program in the world. Its hosts, including Vic Sotto, Tito Sotto, Joey De Leon, Maine Mendoza, and others announced last May 31 that they are separating from TAPE Inc., the company that produces the show.
In a previous report by KAMI, Maine Mendoza said she is hoping that Alden will be a part of the new show on their new network TV5 after they left TAPE Inc. on GMA due to a conflict. Maine explained that Alden is a legit Dabarkad and that they are still updating each other about their TV5 show.
Earlier, Alden took to social media and posted about "Eat Bulaga." On his Instagram page, the actor shared a photo of him at the show's studio captured by Ryan Agoncillo. In the caption, the Kapuso star simply expressed, "Always and forever…"
