In a video she uploaded on YouTube, Salve asked the two veteran showbiz columnists, “Anong reaksyon niyo, kayo raw ang lider ng mga Marites?”
To which Nanay Cristy hilariously answered, "At least leader, hindi kami follower."
Manay Lolit then went on to take a swipe on their bashers who call them “lider ng mga Marites.”
“At saka bakit sila basa nang basa 'yun pala naiirita sila sa tsismis namin? Gusto lang nila i-tsismis namin buhay nila, e wa silang name. 'Di ba, wa silang name, paano namin sila itsi-tsismis? Walang babasa sa kanila.”
Cristy Fermin and Lolit Solis are among the most prominent Filipino entertainment columnists. They are well-known for their frank commentaries on different showbiz, social and political issues in the country.
Lolit and Cristy both said they will not waste their time on their bashers. They frankly aired this in a video shared by entertainment editor Salve Asis on YouTube. Manay Lolit described their haters as “pampagulo lang” while Nanay Cristy reacted “ni hindi nga namin sila kilala”. The two veteran columnists have been drawing flak due to their honest commentaries on showbiz personalities’ recent controversies.
Earlier, thousands of Twitter users are talking about Cristy Fermin amid Nadine Lustre’s viral cryptic tweets. In the said tweets, the actress wrote a couple of fiery notes that read, “2021 na toxic pa rin” and “Marites talaga ihhh". To recall, Nanay Cristy took to her program, “Cristy Ferminute,” to react to a netizen’s comment saying that Nadine had gained weight and lost her curves. Part of Cristy’s commentary was, "Magtapi ka. Itago mo yang katawan mo nang hindi ka naba-bash. Eh ano inaasahan mo pag ganyang ipinakikita mo buong katawan mo.”
