The actress and social media personality shared the situation in a Facebook post, where she included a screenshot of her conversation with her mother announcing the disappointing news. Although Inka did not identify the brand, she described it as a “big brand” that ultimately chose AI for the voice-over project.

“My heart breaks for all the artists and creatives,” Inka said.

Inka explained that she chose not to reveal the company involved because she understood that businesses make decisions based on their interests. However, she encouraged consumers to think carefully about where they spend their money and how those choices can affect people working in creative industries.

“Of course hindi ko naman irereveal kasi I also understand business decisions are made for the interest of the company, but we need to think about where our money goes,” she added.

The actress also questioned whether using AI to replace human creatives is the direction major brands want to pursue moving forward. She pointed out that consumers are also part of the equation, emphasizing that artists are not simply service providers but customers themselves.

“I ask you: Is that the future you want? A world where numbers, codes, and programs syphon the earth’s resources and take opportunities from actual human beings?” Inka questioned.

She further argued that money saved by companies through AI could eventually have a different impact on the same consumers who support those businesses.

“So big brands with money, sure, you save money. But the money you would have spent on the real people who would LOVE to work with you will end up spending this money back on you anyway. We are your customers, too,” she continued.

Inka maintained that artificial intelligence can serve as a tool but should not necessarily replace human creativity. She also argued that audiences can recognize the difference between work produced by people and content generated by AI.

“Yes, we can all tell. Yes, we do judge you when we see it. AI VOs sound lifeless. AI art feels lifeless. AI music sounds lifeless. Why? Because AI is not alive. It can never replicate life. And we are slowly being backed into a dead world one prompt at a time,” she shared.

Toward the end of her post, Inka turned her concern into an opportunity by inviting brands to consider hiring her mother for future voice-over work. Her post subsequently gained attention online, with netizens weighing in on the growing debate over artificial intelligence and its potential impact on human jobs.
