Taking to her Instagram account @mikadlacruz, the actress posted an emotional transformation reel contrasting her darkest days—marked as "Before Jesus"—with joyful moments of her new life.

The video openly displayed her past vulnerability, showing clips of her weeping, undergoing hospital procedures, and reviewing psychological evaluations, before transitioning to bright smiles and travels.
In her caption, Mika poured her heart out about how her deep faith had turned her life around.

"Jesus Heals 🕊️ Dwelling in His presence alone has restored my heart, healed my body, and brought peace to my mind. You can physically see evidence of Him transforming my life within just a few months of knowing Him 🥺," Mika wrote.
Reflecting on the heavy trials she faced in recent years, Mika shared that the short video barely captures the magnitude of the changes she experienced with her life, and most especially her health too.
"These clips don’t even scratch the surface of what my God has done for me. A girl who once drowned in her own thoughts & brokenness is finally at peace. A body that was once at it’s breaking point has been restored," she bared. "A long-term relationship that wasn’t honoring to the Lord now walks & reflects the true meaning of love in marriage."
Mika emphasized that the woman she is today is a result of her personal faith and encounter with Christ.
"The way I live my life right now, everything I have and the woman I am today are all just the fruit of encountering Jesus Christ. I now get to live this second-chance at life with purpose and joy all thanks to a God who humbly came down as a human to sacrifice His life in exchange for mine," she shared.
Encouraging followers who might be walking through similar hardships, Mika pointed them toward her recent podcast episode where she detailed her full journey through illness and grief.

Mika revealed she was diagnosed with Hashimoto's Disease, an autoimmune condition. The actress also faced liver ascites, fatty liver, liver fibrosis, and even hyperlipidemia. Mika shared that her medical treatments wiped out almost all of her savings at the time.
