During an episode of Fast Talk with Boy Abunda, the Kapuso actor sat down with host Boy Abunda for a candid conversation about his evolving role as a father. When asked by Boy Abunda what past mistake of his he would not want his son to repeat, Dennis offered a direct and unfiltered response, which earned praise.
"Syempre, ayoko na makabuntis siya nang wala sa oras," Dennis candidly admitted. "Gusto ko, prepared at siguradong kaya niyang panindigan lahat ng mga responsibilities pagka nangyari yun—pinaghahandaan, yun ang importante."
Calix, who currently studies at the University of the Philippines and represents the school as a UAAP varsity fencer, also has a girlfriend which Dennis shared in the same interview with the 'King of Talk' too.

Knowing how fast-paced modern relationships can be, Dennis stressed why constant communication and daily guidance are crucial for young adults navigating love and independence.
"Mag-iingat palagi kasi siyempre yung mga bata ngayon, mga mapupusok. Minsan hindi natin alam yung mga ginagawa nila, so mga paalala lang talaga yung magsisilbing reminder every day sa kanila," Dennis explained.
Being a hands-on dad who prioritizes family above all else, Dennis continues to actively support Calix's ambitions—whether in sports, academics, or his growing interest in exploring acting workshops under his personal guidance.
