The restaurateur and content creator responded to a post made by entrepreneur and investor Zac Alviz, who asked:
“Is it really worth throwing away years of friendship because you have different political opinions?”
In his reply, Erwan clarified that having different political views does not automatically ruin friendships. However, he stressed that there should still be moral limits when it comes to the people individuals choose to support.

“Political opinions, no. But if it crosses into moral territory, yes.”
He then provided an example to explain his point further.
“I.e If someone was the most charitable person you knew, but was also a known s*xual abuser. If you can tolerate that and support that person, it says alot about ones moral character.”

Erwan did not stop there, as he also identified another behavior he considers a major red flag.

“We all know no one is perfect or even close to it, so if you can't challenge your own beliefs, we can't be friends.”
