Nation’s girl group BINI is set to make history as they prepare for their much-anticipated performance at Coachella, with leader Jhoanna Robles sharing a mix of nerves and excitement just a day before their debut on the global stage. The group’s appearance marks the first time an OPM act will perform at one of the world’s most influential music festivals.

“Parang sasabog yung puso ko kapag ‘di ko nalabas ‘to HAHAHAHA grabe nao-overwhelm ako. Na para bang lalaban ng boxing ang mga atecco," Jhoanna posted on X.

She also thanked fans for their support.

“Kidding aside, maraminggggg salamaaaat po sa lahat ng nagpaparamdam ng support and love nila for BINI. Kinakabahan kaming girls pero mas lamang talaga excitement."

In an interview with the Los Angeles Times, the eight-member group reflected on their preparations and the significance of their participation.

“For Coachella, we became more intentional with everything — the music, the arrangements, we’re involved,” BINI Jhoanna said.

She emphasized their goal to represent the country.

“It’s our first time here, it’s a much bigger audience, so we want to make an impression and prove that Filipinos deserve to be on that stage.”

Members Aiah and Colet highlighted the responsibility that comes with the opportunity.

“It’s not the first time that a Filipino act has been able to step on a global stage,” Aiah said.
Colet added, “It’s a great responsibility for us. Because we want to open the door to more Filipino art.”

The group will perform on the Mojave Stage for a continuous 42-minute set, which includes the debut of their new single “Blush” from their EP Signals. Jhoanna said their rehearsals boosted their confidence.
