Actress Xyriel Manabat is taking a firm stand after a TNVS driver allegedly made lewd remarks online following a selfie they supposedly took together.

Fans flagged the account under the name “Boss Toyo Mansi” for sharing the photo with the caption:
“Ang laki ng bata na ’yan.”
He later adding inappropriate comments including:

“Hindi ko ’yan papalampasin. Hindi dapat gawing entertainment ’yan in any form. I hope the platform or app will do something about this. It is not petty,”
Manabat told ABS-CBN News after being shown a screenshot of the post.
The photo was taken during a routine TNVS ride on Tuesday, which Manabat booked to go to work. She said she was surprised and disappointed that a simple, everyday trip turned into an uncomfortable encounter.
“Sobrang nagulat ako. Papunta lang ako ng work niyan — imagine gaano kahirap buhay ng babae. Nag-work ka lang, nagpa-pic lang — you are being kind, you are being a decent human being, you get this in return,” she added.
Manabat emphasized that her attire or demeanor had nothing to do with the incident.
“It is never about the piece of clothing? Naka pang-work ako. Maayos ako nakipag-usap. Nag-tip pa ako. I hope your mom, family, sister, wife, daughter, makita nila 'to. Makitang ganyan ka na tao.”
Known for speaking up for marginalized groups, Manabat also highlighted her commitment to advocating for victims of abuse.
“I am never scared to express my passion about protecting women, victims of any gender and age — those who are voiceless. There is nothing to be scared. It fuels reason to be more brave and spread awareness,” she said.
Grab Philippines confirmed the matter is under investigation, reiterating their zero-tolerance policy for inappropriate conduct.
“Rest assured, we have invited the driver involved as part of our full investigation and are committed to taking the necessary actions,” the company added.
