Senator Robin Padilla shared his disappointment over missing former President Rodrigo Duterte’s 81st birthday celebration during a recent trip to The Hague in the Netherlands.

In a video posted on his Facebook page on March 28, Padilla was seen outside the International Criminal Court, where Duterte is currently detained. The actor-turned-politician appeared solemn as he explained the reasons behind his absence.
"Hindi po ako nakapagtagal sa Netherlands para muling makapagdiwang ng Iyong kaarawan sapagkat ako po ay pinauwi ng aking opisina," says Robin.
He revealed that his office ordered him to return to the Philippines despite invitations to join birthday events abroad.

He added that his immediate presence in the Senate was necessary due to urgent global concerns.
"Kinakailangan po ako ngayon na naka antabay sa biglaang pagpapatawag ng Senado kung tuluyang iigting pa ang digmaan sa Gitnang Silangan," he explained.
