"My dream was to really live by the beach, and Boracay is one of the best beaches around the world, so who wouldn't want to live here?" Quiambao told Karen Davila in a vlog interview.
She described the move as challenging, especially packing and choosing what to bring.
"Once we landed and saw the beach and the sunset, it was magical. It was the best decision we ever made," she added.

The couple’s current home is their second in Boracay. Their first house was part of a resort that eventually closed down.
"Because the lot, the property was bought," Quiambao explained.
"So they were selling everything and we bought everything second hand."
Items like lounge chairs, a dining set, and even capiz walls were repurposed in the new home, which also features two studio rooms for tenants.
Her experience as an Airbnb superhost helped her maximize the space affordably while maintaining style. But beyond aesthetics, Quiambao values the lifestyle itself.
"Less stress," she said, noting that life in Manila comes with pressures to look a certain way.
"Pero dito, walang pressure na ganoon. Kasi people take you as you are."
Roberto added that Boracay allows people to enjoy life regardless of social status.
"Dito, naka-e-trike ka, naka-tricycle ka, okay lang. People, like millionaires, they own resorts [and they also] ride tricycles, they ride bikes. Naka-tsinelas. Okay lang."
The couple also enjoys spending quality time with their children. "Every day sa beach kami pagkagising after breakfast.
They have outside time, wala sila sa gadgets," Quiambao shared. "It's wonderful dahil I have the benefit of being with them every day and teaching them."
In Boracay, the family has created a life centered on nature, family, and simple joys—far from the fast-paced pressures of the city.
Miriam Quiambao, a former beauty queen in the Philippines, rose to fame when she represented the country in the 1999 Miss Universe pageant. She married Ardy Roberto in Tagaytay. Ardy also has an adopted son, Joshua, from his late wife, Tingting.
As previously reported by KAMI, Miriam and Ardy tested positive for COVID-19. The beauty queen shared that they had been vaccinated on Jan. 5 at Festival Mall and spent the entire day there. "We were exposed to a lot of people," she said, explaining how their long stay at the vaccination site likely contributed to their positive results.
Recently, Miriam and her family flew to Boracay to live on the island for a year. She shared that they are excited about their “island life” and all the new experiences ahead. During the trip, the family faced a minor QR code hiccup, which Miriam said was eventually resolved. Her post online drew an outpouring of support from netizens, many wishing them well on this new chapter of their lives.
