Rising actor Joaquin Arce has opened up about facing online criticism following his successful stint in the reality show "Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0," where he finished as the season’s Third Big Placer.

Despite the strong support from his fans, Joaquin admitted that he has also encountered negative comments on social media.

The young actor addressed the issue during his thanksgiving party held in Quezon City, where he also met supporters who celebrated his journey in the popular reality program.

Speaking to PUSH ABS-CBN, Joaquin shared that he tries to approach criticism with an open mind rather than letting it affect him negatively.

“Well, for the comments that I've seen, honestly, I look at everything in an objective perspective na gusto ko talaga mag-improve as a person,” Joaquin said.

The actor explained that he carefully reflects on criticisms to determine whether there is truth in them and whether they can help him grow.

“That's just me,” he added.

While he acknowledges the presence of bashers online, Joaquin said he is equally thankful for fans who defend him whenever negative remarks surface.

"May mga nang-de-defend naman sa akin,” he said.

He noted that hearing both sides allows him to better understand different perspectives.

During the thanksgiving gathering, Joaquin was also deeply touched by the overwhelming support shown by his fans, many of whom personally attended the celebration.

“Nakaka-overwhelm talaga,” he shared.

The actor admitted that he did not expect such a large turnout for the event.

“Sinabi sa akin na may fan event ako today,” he said.

Joaquin revealed that he initially thought only a small number of supporters would attend. However, he was stunned when he stepped out of his car and saw a crowd waiting for him.
