Kapamilya actor Joaquin Arce admitted that he was surprised by the strong fan support pairing him with Lella Ford after their stint in Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0.

During Wednesday’s episode of Unang Hirit, the 3rd Big Placer opened up about his reaction to the growing popularity of their tandem outside the famous Bahay Ni Kuya.

“Hindi ko talaga inasahan kasi sa loob ng bahay, magkaibigan talaga kami,” Joaquin said.

Inside the house, Joaquin shared that their connection was rooted in friendship rather than romance. He explained that while he considers Lella important to him, he did not foresee the overwhelming public response to their closeness.
