The veteran journalist was in the middle of a report for the program News and Views when the man approached her camera crew. Upon realizing the broadcast was for a Philippine audience, the man’s face lit up with enthusiasm.

The interaction quickly turned from a simple "shoutout" into a heartfelt message of global unity. The local resident reminded the audience of the long-standing bond between the two nations, particularly during times of crisis.

"We had the biggest support to the Philippines for the sea storming to the Philippines like ever," he added.

Referring to the humanitarian aid provided by the Netherlands during major typhoons.

Castro, showing her trademark poise, welcomed the spontaneous interruption with a smile and allowed the man to finish his message. He concluded his brief appearance by calling for global cooperation and peace.

"Philippines, let’s come together. We're one big world. Let's go!" the man said.

Once the passerby moved on, Castro smoothly transitioned back to the serious nature of her broadcast. She noted that the area was particularly busy due to local gatherings, which often lead to such unscripted moments.
