An old video from 2024 of former reality show contestant Alvin Aragon has resurfaced, drawing renewed attention to his past. In the clip, Alvin openly discussed a period of his life marked by repeated theft, including from R&B singer Kris Lawrence.

“Alam mo dati, magnanakaw ako. Marami akong ninakawan. Ninakawan ko yung lola ko, binubuksan ko yung drawer niya kumukuha ako ng ₱5,000, ₱10,000. Tsaka kapitbahay namin, kinukuha ko yung cellphone,” he said, reflecting on his younger years.
Alvin admitted that his theft extended into show business after joining StarStruck Season 1 in 2003.
“Nung napasok ako sa showbiz, aba doon ako nagnanakaw. Nagnanakaw ako ng cellphone din. Si Kris Lawrence, yung singer, ninakawan ko ng cellphone yun sa bahay niya,” he recalled.

He also stole from a co-worker nearly ₱40,000, spending the money on personal indulgences.
The turning point came in 2009, when Alvin said he discovered faith in Jesus Christ.
“Finorgive ako ni Lord sa mga pagnanakaw na ginawa ko. Binago niya ako, binago niya ang puso ko. Simula 2009 hindi na ako nagnanakaw,” he said
Describing a profound personal transformation.
Alvin confronted those he wronged, seeking forgiveness rather than repayment.
“Tapos nakita ko si Kris Lawrence sa gym sa Galleria...Sinabi ko sakaniya, ‘Kris ako yung nagnakaw ng [cellphone] mo. I’m sorry,’” he recalled.
He shared a similar encounter with a former co-worker, who also forgave him.
He emphasized how faith continues to guide his life.
“Binago ako ni Lord Jesus. Wala akong ninakaw kahit naghihirap kami ng asawa ko doon sa trabaho ko.”
He urged others who struggle with wrongdoing to seek change.
“Kung ikaw magnanakaw sa work mo, sa family mo...ang good news ko sa'yo, pwede ka pang mabago. Pwede kang baguhin ng Panginoon.”
