“I think it’s a story about how love is to each and every individual. Ang galing lang na minsan na kahit pa naparealize sa akin ng pelikula na ito ay there's love even in absence of someone important in your life,” Alden said.

Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Brillante Mendoza, the movie features Barbie alongside veteran actresses Charo Santos-Concio and Boots Anson-Roa. The cast also includes Angel Aquino, Albert Martinez, Eric Quizon, and Vince Rillon.

Barbie shared how meaningful the project is to her.

“Dream project ko po ito. Ang mapabilang sa pelikula ni direk Brillante, ang makasama ang mga very powerful women who I really look up to in the industry,” she said.

In the film, she plays Angel, a 16-year-old student discovering the complexities of love, particularly through her bond with her grandmother.

Set to open in cinemas on February 25, the film follows a packed year for Barbie, who previously starred in the series Beauty Empire and the films P77 and Kontrabida Academy.
