Jopay said what hurt her most was that their spouses became part of the public discussion. “Damay na yung asawa namin,” she said, emphasizing that their husbands should not be dragged into an issue about a professional performance.
When asked if she had reached out to Izzy, the TV personality admitted that she had not sent a personal message. She explained that she is not usually active in messaging her groupmates unless there is a serious concern that needs to be addressed. In this case, she said there was no direct conversation between them about the controversy.
The singer also made it clear that she respects Alvin’s position as a husband. She acknowledged that it is normal for spouses to have concerns. However, she maintained that the reunion was meant to celebrate their journey and reconnect with long-time supporters.
Jopay further said that she is open to accepting any apology from Alvin if he chooses to give one. Whether it is a public apology or a private message, she said she is willing to accept it. For her, what matters is resolving the issue peacefully.
Toward the end of the interview, Jopay gave a direct message to Alvin. “Alvin, kung may problema ka, ipagpa-pray ka namin,” she said.
Her statement reflected a calm and composed approach despite the issue.
Jopay Paguia-Zamora remains a defining presence in Filipino pop culture as one of the original members of the iconic SexBomb Girls. Known for the unforgettable “Get, Get, Aw!” phenomenon on Eat Bulaga!, she has since built a multifaceted career spanning acting and television. By 2026, she also emerged as a symbol of resilience after mounting a successful return to the stage following a concussion and knee surgery.
Weeks ago, the performer clarified to fans that her most recent hospital visit was solely for targeted knee care and unrelated to her earlier concussion and back injury. The treatment, called knee aspiration, involved removing excess fluid to ease persistent inflammation worsened by demanding rehearsals for the “Get, Get, Aw!” concert.
Before undergoing the knee procedure in January 2026, Paguia shared a calm hospital photo that reflected her dependence on faith during a difficult period. She paired her “operation day” message with a Bible verse meant to comfort both herself and concerned followers with reassurance of divine protection. Zamora later organized an online prayer gathering, asking for steady hands from the surgeons and a smooth, complication-free return of his wife’s strength.
