Singer KZ Tandingan once doubted whether their joint concert with husband TJ Monterde should push through, a revelation shared during the final night of their “In Between” show at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Actor-director John Prats disclosed that Tandingan worried audiences might already feel saturated after Monterde’s extensive tour.
“Ayaw niya gawin ‘yung concert na ito dahil ang sabi niya baka sawa na raw kayo sa kanila,” he said, describing her hesitation before the production moved forward.
Despite those concerns, the concert not only continued as planned but expanded into four straight sold-out evenings due to overwhelming demand.

The achievement also marked a historic first, as the couple became the first Filipino pair to accomplish such a feat at the Big Dome.
The milestone underscored the strong support they continue to receive from listeners who have followed their music and relationship through the years.
Tandingan later addressed the crowd and reflected on her earlier fears.
“Totoo yun na sabi ko kay Direk John na ‘Direk baka po wala na manood kasi sinagad natin na 40 shows sa ten months. Sino gumagawa noon?’ pero maraming maraming salamat po kahit di na po namin kayo maintindihan, but I'm very grateful,” she said.
She added that the moment felt almost unreal and far beyond what she once quietly dreamed of achieving.
“If you ever ask me na did I ever dream na tutongtong ako sa entablado na ito na kakanta na may manonood sa Araneta Coliseum, I would say yes pero did I ever imagine for my dream to actually come true? Never in a million years.”
The concert’s theme symbolized how two artists with different musical identities ultimately found harmony together, both onstage and in life.
TJ Monterde is a Filipino pop artist known for heartfelt releases such as the album Ikaw At Ako and his self-titled extended play, alongside a parallel career in radio and television hosting. He is married to fellow performer KZ Tandingan, with their relationship having grown from shared circles in the music scene that included mentors and collaborators like Martin Nievera and Kedevon.
As the Christmas season approached, Monterde posted a holiday message on social media that quietly pointed to a growing issue in the industry—the spread of unlicensed AI-generated song covers. While offering festive greetings to supporters, the statement noticeably left out those believed to be producing unauthorized digital renditions, suggesting concern over artistic ownership and authenticity.
Earlier in the year, Monterde and Tandingan also created a memorable moment for the team behind their Sarili Nating Mundo tour after successfully completing 40 performances. Each crew member received ₱100,000 through a TikTok scratch-card surprise, triggering emotional reactions that ranged from cheers to tears. Monterde later shared a public note of appreciation, recognizing the group’s dedication and tireless work that helped bring the concert series to life.
