Despite continuing health challenges, she remains hopeful about the years ahead.

In a recent Instagram post, Aquino said she feels thankful to celebrate her 55th birthday while still undergoing treatment for multiple autoimmune conditions.

She also noted that some online establishments do not recognize PWD identification and shared that she never learned how to drive, leaving her passport as her primary valid ID.

Aquino added that she would soon explain why people around her are extremely cautious about preventing accidents.

“Such a fall would be seriously life threatening,” she said, referring to her fragile medical condition.

The former host also updated followers on her recovery after spending six weeks in the hospital and undergoing minor surgery.

“I’m not yet allowed to walk outside until 4 weeks after my stitches are removed,” she shared.

She explained that she can now walk without assistance and rarely needs a wheelchair.

Looking ahead, Aquino plans to co-produce an on-camera podcast and hopes to begin producing “immunity cells” several weeks after her stitches are fully healed, noting that she is currently severely immunocompromised.

She also addressed the early career developments of her son, "Bimby Aquino-Yap" emphasizing her preference to remain a supportive mother rather than act as his manager. Aquino concluded by inviting supporters to leave questions, promising to respond to as many as possible.

In other news, a viral video has surfaced showing a foreign national repeatedly striking a Filipino woman inside a Singapore shopping mall, an unprovoked attack that has sparked widespread public condemnation. The Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) confirmed that their labor attaché has successfully located the victim and is currently providing her with a safe environment and immediate care. Secretary Hans Cacdac stated that the agency is facilitating both a medical evaluation for the survivor and full legal representation to ensure a formal criminal complaint is filed. Singaporean and Philippine authorities are coordinating a formal inquiry into the physical assault to hold the perpetrator accountable under the city-state's strict public safety laws.

Still in other news, a family in Barangay Mayamot, Antipolo, was left traumatized after CCTV footage revealed a male intruder meticulously searching their bedroom while they were asleep in the early hours of February 8, 2026. The homeowner, identified as Mary Rose Bustamante, reported the theft of high-value smartphones, wallets, and cash totaling over ₱20,000, which the suspect gathered just inches from the sleeping residents. During their initial sweep of the neighborhood, local residents discovered some of the victim's stolen bags abandoned in a nearby alley, though all monetary contents had been removed. Antipolo police have identified the suspect as a local resident with a history of similar "akyat-bahay" offenses and carnapping, prompting an active search to prevent further residential invasions.
