During a guest appearance on the vlog Your Honor alongside close friend and fellow dancer Mia Pangyarihan, Garcia recounted a series of mishaps involving mixed-up slang and an unconventional fashion choice that brought a date to an abrupt end.
The highlight of the interview revolved around a linguistic slip-up that has since become a legendary joke between the two friends.
Garcia recalled a time when she was single and living in Alabang, preparing to meet a potential suitor. In her excitement, she told Pangyarihan that she was going on a "bullseye."

Confused, Pangyarihan questioned the term, only for Garcia to double down with confidence, insisting that "bullseye" was the proper term for meeting a date in person.
It wasn't until they were sitting in a coffee shop that Pangyarihan corrected her, explaining that the slang she was looking for was actually "eyeball," a popular Filipino term in the early 2000s for meeting an online or phone acquaintance for the first time.
"Nasa coffee shop kami, galit pa siya sa'kin. Sabi, ‘Ito naman, bullseye, ‘di mo alam?’ Kasalanan ko?" Pangyarihan laughed, recalling how Garcia eventually had to "Google it" mentally before realizing her mistake.
The comedy of errors didn't stop at the terminology. Garcia, who refused to go on dates without a "chaperone," brought Pangyarihan along to the actual meeting. However, the date ended before it even truly began.

Upon spotting her suitor, Garcia was immediately put off by his choice of attire: a turtleneck sweater.
In a moment of blunt honesty that sent the studio into fits of laughter, Garcia whispered to her friend, " Ito na, makikipagkita na, pagtingin ko, ay, naka-turtleneck. Sabi ko talaga, ‘Tara na, walang leeg."
Pangyarihan jokingly admonished her friend for the quick exit, noting the wasted taxi fare, but the duo ultimately decided to head home, leaving the date behind.
Garcia also touched upon her struggles with dating foreigners due to the language barrier. She admitted to being extremely quiet during face-to-face meetings, often relying on "liquid courage" to boost her confidence in speaking English.
"Nu’ng lasing na ako, saka ko kinausap. Ang reason ko, mali man ako, okay lang ‘yun kasi lasing na ako," she joked.
She further revealed that during phone calls, she would put the suitors on loudspeaker so her friends could whisper the correct English responses for her to repeat.
This candid and humorous look at Garcia's past provides a humanizing glimpse into the life of the performer, reminding fans that the path to finding love—which eventually led her to husband Alex Castro—was paved with many laughable detours.
