Instead of a traditional celebration, the artist chose to highlight a cause close to his heart—helping young patients receive free surgical care.

According to a report aired on GTV News "Balitanghali" on Friday, several children were able to undergo surgery at no cost through the project.

The procedures aim to improve not only the children’s physical condition but also their confidence and overall quality of life.

Parents of the beneficiaries expressed their gratitude to Ronnie, saying the free operations were a huge relief for their families.

For many of them, the cost of surgery would have been impossible to afford without assistance, making the project a life-changing opportunity for their children.

Ronnie shared that beyond his career in music, being able to bring smiles to children through medical help gives him a deeper sense of fulfillment.

He launched Project Ngiti in 2022 to support children with cleft lip and palate by partnering with medical professionals and organizations that provide free surgical services.

“Gusto ko makatulong sa kanila na magkaroon sila ng normal at masayang buhay dahil alam ko ‘yung lumaking may cleft ay nakaranas sila ng discrimination at mga panunukso nung lumalaki sila,” says Ronnie.

He explained that understanding the challenges these children face motivated him to take action.

Through Project Ngiti, he continues to use his platform to create positive and lasting impact, proving that his birthday wish was to give others a reason to smile.
