Celebrity best friends and roommates Michelle Dee and Rhian Ramos are facing a legal storm after their former driver filed a complaint for illegal detention against them at the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI). However, the camp of the two stars is not taking the accusations sitting down, claiming that the report is nothing more than a "vindictive suit."

Atty. Maggie Abraham-Garduque, the legal counsel for Michelle and Rhian, shared an official statement clarifying that they have not yet received an official copy of the NBI complaint. Despite this, they were quick to shut down the allegations of illegal detention.
“As far as our client is concerned, there is no incident of illegal detention happened as Mr. Baro was a resident of the condo, being the driver of Rhian,” the statement read.
The lawyer further revealed a messy backstory between the parties. It turns out that Michelle Dee had already filed a criminal case for qualified theft against the driver, Mr. Baro, before he went to the NBI. In a surprising twist, the driver reportedly admitted to the theft and even returned some of the items he took from the beauty queen.

“Thus, our clients cannot think of any reason for initiating this complaint but a leverage and vindictive suit to said qualified theft case,” Garduque added.
The issue became public after the driver reportedly gave interviews to several media outlets regarding the alleged detention. Michelle and Rhian’s camp decided to release the statement to clear their names, emphasizing that they are ready to answer the allegations formally once the NBI documents arrive.
