The interaction was particularly emotional as Andres took on the lead role of 'Adie' for Bagets The Musical.
This character originally launched Aga to superstardom a couple of decades ago, making the casting a significant milestone for the Muhlach family. As the performance concluded, Aga walked onto the stage and shared a tight, proud embrace with his son.
"Adie meets Adie! Andres Muhlach and Aga Muhlach in one stage!" Viva Films shared in a celebratory post.

The father-daughter duo, Charlene Gonzalez and Atasha Muhlach, were also spotted in the audience, cheering enthusiastically over the emotional meeting. Aga was seen laughing and wiping away tears of joy while holding Andres' face in his hands.
The musical production has already garnered praise for its fresh take on the beloved story while honoring the legacy of the original cast. For many attendees, seeing the "original and the new Adie" together was the highlight of the evening, signaling a successful passing of the torch to the next generation of Muhlach talent.
Aga Muhlach is a multi-award-winning Filipino actor. He rose to fame as part of the iconic 1984 teen film Bagets, which cemented his status as a top heartthrob. Over the decades, he became known for his performances in both romantic comedies and dramas, starring in acclaimed films like Sana Maulit Muli, A Love Story, and In the Name of Love. His natural charm, boyish appeal, and strong acting chops helped him remain relevant across generations in both film and television. In his personal life, he is married to Charlene Gonzalez, and they have twins, Andres and Atasha. Despite the changing landscape of local entertainment, Aga continues to be regarded as one of the most respected and beloved leading men in Philippine cinema.
As previously reported by KAMI in 2025, Aga Muhlach publicly questioned Claire Castro's laughing reaction to the DTI's statement about a ₱500 Noche Buena budget. The award-winning actor directly challenged her reaction before asking, "Natatawa ka?" Other celebrities, including Arci Muñoz and Empress Schuck, also expressed disapproval of Castro's reaction to the topic. Needless to say, DTI's claim about a P500 Noche Buena budget has since made headlines.
Meanwhile, on that same year, Aga Muhlach and Charlene Gonzalez recently marked their 24th wedding anniversary. The actor then took to social media to post a heartfelt message to his wife. He likewise shared a video montage displaying several sweet photos of them. Charlene later took to the comments section to pen an affectionate reply to her husband which had netizens felt tons of 'kilig' vibes on the photo-sharing app.
