Television host Kris Aquino made a public appearance of sorts this week after her hairstylist shared an update showing her with a new haircut following a recent medical procedure.

The post offered fans a glimpse of her ongoing recovery after she disclosed surviving a serious health scare earlier this month.
Hair and makeup artist Jonathan Velasco posted a short clip on Instagram on Friday, January 16, showing him giving Kris a haircut. In the caption, he highlighted her strength amid her current condition.
“New hair, same brave spirit. Madam @krisaquino is on the mend! Please continue to keep her in your thoughts and prayers as she gets stronger every day,” Velasco wrote.

Kris later responded in the comments, expressing gratitude for simply being alive.
“I am literally so grateful to be breathing,” says Kris.
Her remark quickly resonated with followers, many of whom left encouraging messages in the comment section.

Another supporter wrote, “Praying for your complete recovery Kris.”
The update came days after Kris revealed that she had undergone what was intended to be a minor medical procedure on Wednesday, January 14.
However, the situation turned critical when she experienced a complication that temporarily stopped her breathing.
“I haven't fully processed what happened, it was supposed to be a minor PICC LINE procedure BUT there was a span of time totaling almost 2 minutes when my lung stopped functioning — I stopped breathing,” she shared.
Kris credited her doctors and loved ones for saving her life and guiding her through the ordeal.
She also thanked those who continue to pray for her healing.
“THANK YOU for continuing to pray for me to get better, for having FAITH that God will make all things possible,” says Kris.
Kris Aquino is a prominent Filipina television host, actress, and producer who comes from one of the Philippines’ most influential political families. She is the youngest daughter of the late Senator Benigno “Ninoy” Aquino Jr. and former President Corazon Aquino, and the sister of former President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III. Widely known as the “Queen of All Media,” Kris built a lasting career through hit talk shows, game shows, and films, including box-office horror successes such as Feng Shui and Sukob, as well as a memorable appearance in the Hollywood movie Crazy Rich Asians.
