Padilla revealed that she was initially presented with two possible storylines before committing to the project.

“First story was very different. And I loved it,” she said.
“Ah okay, this is something I haven’t done before!” she added, referring to the second concept.

The actress described the role as a significant departure from her previous work.

“This is very new for me, bagong-bagong character,” Padilla said.
“Bagong genre din, first time kong mag action-drama,” she added.

Despite feeling nervous about returning to taping, Padilla said she is fully committed.

“Hindi ko nga alam kung marunong pa ba ako mag-taping?” she said.

Padilla emphasized her readiness for the project on multiple levels.

“Mentally, yes! I’m ready,” she said.
“Physically, I’ve been training for the show,” she added.

She shared that she has resumed Muay Thai training and is learning stunts under Erwin Tagle to prepare for the physically demanding scenes.

Padilla also spoke about her improved health and discipline compared to earlier years.

“I feel a lot healthier and stronger now than in my 20’s,” she said.

“I wasn’t taking care of myself,” she added, recalling her hectic schedule in the past.

In addition to the series, Padilla is set to star in a heavy-drama film with Carlo Aquino, which is scheduled for theatrical release this March.

Bela Padilla is a Filipino actress, screenwriter, and director widely recognized for her versatility and emotionally grounded performances. She gained critical acclaim for her lead roles in films such as 100 Tula Para Kay Stella, Meet Me in St. Gallen, and On Vodka, Beers, and Regrets. She is also the niece of action star Robin Padilla. Over the years, Bela steadily moved from supporting characters to leading roles, eventually establishing herself as a major figure in Philippine cinema. Beyond acting, she has expanded her creative footprint by writing, directing, and producing, showcasing her range behind the camera as well.

As previously reported by KAMI, Bela earlier drew attention online after criticizing Rep. Mark Cojuangco over his remarks on typhoon victims. Cojuangco had said residents suffered the “consequence” of choosing to live in flood-prone areas following widespread flooding caused by Typhoon Tino. Bela strongly pushed back against the statement, stressing that public officials should focus on rescuing affected communities rather than placing blame on victims. She also took a swipe at Slater Young, whose hillside development project in Cebu has been linked by critics to flooding concerns.

In a separate issue, Bela also spoke out against a statement made by Brice Hernandez regarding infrastructure projects in Bulacan. Hernandez previously claimed that all Department of Public Works and Highways projects in Bulacan’s 1st District were substandard. Reacting on Instagram, Bela opened her post with the words “literally walang hiya.” She went on to criticize Hernandez, questioning his choices and actions, and called out what she saw as a failure to properly report or address the issue through appropriate channels.
