Just a day after Melanie Marquez shared a tearful interview about her marriage, her husband, Adam "Randy" Lawyer, has fired back. Through his legal counsel, Lawyer has categorically denied the allegations of abuse, labeling them as part of a "notorious history" of fabricated claims.

During the Tuesday episode of Fast Talk with Boy Abunda, the King of Talk read an official statement from Lawyer’s legal team, led by Atty. Jecko G. Bello. The statement was direct and firm. “Our client, Mr. Adam Lawyer, categorically denies with strongest terms the allegations thrown against him. Ms. Melanie has always been engaged in ostentatiously accusing Mr. Lawyer of abuse, but all of which were found to be baseless or unfounded by the proper forum,” the letter stated.

The defense team, which also includes Attorneys Mitzell Arthur R. Magdaong and Isabel Perfetua P. Doctolero, did not hold back in their assessment of the situation. They claimed that Melanie’s recent interview was a “malicious harassment, designed to inflict severe reputational damage, emotional distress, and professional harm.” They further clarified that the specific case Melanie mentioned in her interview had already been dismissed by the Office of the City Prosecutor of Makati and never even reached a court of law.

Melanie and Randy have been married since 2000 and share two children, Abraham and Adam. While Melanie claimed on Monday that she is seeking to have his visa canceled to protect herself and others from further mistreatment, Lawyer’s camp insists this is a form of defamation. They stated that they would settle the particularities of these accusations in the proper forum, which is the Bureau of Immigration.
