Now, as a mother, she is looking at the spotlight through a different lens. In a candid interview on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda this Monday, December 15, Angelica opened up about the possibility of her daughter, Amila Sabine—affectionately called Bean—following in her footsteps.

The actress described how life has shifted dynamically since the arrival of her husband, Greg Homan, and their daughter.

She noted that every year brings a new layer of joy and challenge. This holiday season, in particular, has been a testament to Bean's growing personality.

Angelica laughingly shared that they’ve had to stop putting gifts under the Christmas tree because Bean, now a curious and active toddler, insists on opening them immediately.

When asked which traits Bean inherited from her, Angelica pointed to the toddler’s infectious energy and "bibo" nature.

"Amila is so lively; you can really see that she has plans to be an actress. It seems like that’s where she’s headed," Angelica remarked.

Unlike some parents who might be wary of the industry’s pressures, Angelica is ready to champion her daughter’s ambitions.

However, her support comes with a high standard. "If I support her, she should be nervous about the kind of support I’ll give, because I will provide the kind of backing she doesn't expect," she said.

Clarifying that she doesn't want to be a typical "stage mother," Angelica explained that she wants Bean to approach the craft with professional rigor.

Rather than just relying on natural charm, Angelica dreams of her daughter receiving elite international training. "I want her in the British School of Acting—those kinds of institutions. If you want to be an actress, let’s do it properly," she asserted.

As for her husband’s take on the matter, Angelica admitted they are currently in a "commercials-only" phase of negotiation.

While Greg Homan is more cautious, preferring to keep Bean’s exposure limited to advertisements for now, the door to a future in the performing arts remains wide open.

Angelica Panganiban is a powerhouse in the Philippine entertainment industry, celebrated for her seamless transitions between heartbreaking drama and sharp-witted comedy. Her journey began in the spotlight as a gifted child performer, eventually evolving into one of the country's most respected leading ladies. She earned critical acclaim for her high-stakes performances in iconic television dramas such as Pangako Sa 'Yo and The Legal Wife, where her portrayal of complex characters left a lasting mark on viewers. Simultaneously, she showcased her natural comedic timing as a mainstay in the long-running gag show Banana Split. In recent years, Angelica has embraced a transformative new chapter; in 2022, she and her partner, Gregg Homan, welcomed their first child, marking her transition into a life centered on family and motherhood.

During a recent sit-down, Angelica Panganiban addressed persistent and damaging online rumors that labeled her a heavy drinker, or "lasenggera." The actress shared her deep disappointment over public comments that callously linked her recent physical health struggles to alcohol consumption. Clarifying the nature of her illness, Angelica explained that she suffered from avascular necrosis (bone death) caused by restricted blood flow to her hip—a condition she struggled with since her pregnancy—rather than lifestyle choices. With her signature blend of humor and grit, Angelica fired back at her detractors, questioning how they could judge her habits when they had never even shared a table with her.
