Carla Abellana gave a candid and thoughtful response during the Shake, Rattle & Roll: Evil Origins press launch when asked whether she was more scared of an evil person in real life or an entity she cannot see. The actress, who stars in the horror anthology, confessed this to ABS-CBN News without hesitation, saying that human malice poses a greater threat in her honest opinion.

The Kapuso artist acknowledged the reality of spiritual threats, but her fear ultimately lies with those who lack integrity and commit corrupt acts.
"Mas takot ako sa tao, sa evil ng mga tao. Kasi ang dami po nila sa paningin ko, eh. At tsaka hindi sila nakukuha sa dasal," she explained.
She noted that life sometimes rewards those who are wicked, which adds to the frightening reality as well.

"Parang mga masasamang damo. Kung sino pa yung mababait, sila pa yung nauuna, yung mga ganung bagay," she added.
Ultimately, the actress believes humans are scarier because of their capability to inflict real, devastating harm.
"Pero dapat sabi nila, between multo or tao, mas matakot po kayo sa tao syempre. Kasi yun talaga yung may capability na saktan talaga tayo ng husto," she concluded.
When discussing how to combat such pervasive evil, Carla stated that the only true defense is one's faith.
"Either way, whether evil entity man po yan or human being, katapat lang talaga ay pananampalataya. Si Lord na ang bahala sa kanila, syempre. Honestly, evil is everywhere," she remarked.
She concluded by reminding everyone to maintain their faith, which serves as a shield against all forms of wickedness and corruption in the world, one that resonated deeply with a lot of people as well.
"Sa totoo lang po, sa dami ng nangyayari ngayon sa mundo. Yung mga taong walang integrity, sa mga magnanakaw, sa mga corrupt, napakadaming evil entities around us. Thankfully, personally wala pa naman po. Meron tayong Lord kaya meron tayong armas, parang ganun, against them," she added.
