Belle Mariano gets candid about the importance of self-care

​Actress Belle Mariano emphasized the crucial importance of prioritizing self-care. In an exclusive interview with during Sanicare's Hygiene Hangout event, Belle addressed the common misconception that taking time for oneself is selfish.

​Belle, who is constantly juggling work and personal demands, explained that self-care is fundamentally about maintaining the energy required to perform at her best.

​"Self-care for me is really important because that's where you get your energy to present yourself to the world, right? This just goes for sa lahat, satin na in order for us to show and appear our best version out there, you have to take that time talaga to make sure that you are the best," she explained.

​She noted that this belief has become her guiding mantra in her life and job as well:

​"I live by the mantra na self-care is not selfish and I think ayun yung misconception na naiisip ng iba na if we take care of ourselves na selfish na agad."

​As someone who often feels overwhelmed by the pressures of her career, Belle admitted that stepping back from time to time is essential for her health too.

​"I apply it as much as I can becuse, like, sometimes, there are times that everything becomes overwhelming na parang ang daming nangyayari. I really need to take that step back and just remind myself talaga na, 'Okay, self-care isn't selfish. This is okay. It's okay. I'm taking a day off on social media,'" she confessed.

​Belle views self-care—whether it's logging off social media or simply spending time with friends—as an investment that allows her to give more to others as well.

​"Kung maganda yung trato mo sa sarili mo, mas maganda yung pagtrato mo sa iba. It's like a reflection na to all the more you love yourself all the more you have the energy to love the people more," she added.

Belle Mariano is a Filipina actress who started her showbiz career at a young age, first appearing in commercials and then in various television programs.
