The issue surfaced when Abad shared on Facebook last November 19 that her bag was stolen inside their car while they were out with their children.

She described how the vacation took an unforeseen turn.

“We went to Vegas para magbakasyon and isuroy ang kids,” writes Abad.

She explained that she never imagined having to visit a police station during what was meant to be a relaxing trip.

In her post, Abad recounted what was taken.

“My bag was stolen inside the car,” she says.

She added that all her IDs and two passports were inside the bag.

She shared that they had only stepped out for lunch for an hour when the theft occurred.

Despite the stressful situation, Abad tried to stay grounded and grateful.

“Anyways, lesson learned,” she writes.

She said she chose to believe that everything happens for a reason.

“Iniisip ko nalang everything can be replaced,” she says.

For her, the most important thing was that her family remained safe.

A week later, she assured loved ones that they were managing the situation.

“To my friends and to those who are asking if kamusta kami, we are ok,” she writes.

She added that God remained good because her family was unharmed.

On Wednesday, Castillo shared positive news on Facebook with a short clip of an emotional Abad hugging their children.

“We can go home!!! Sure na,” he says.
