In her interview on “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,” she admitted that the issue deeply affected her, especially since she was never given the chance to explain her side.
“Allegedly, I was in a s#x video. I think that one was the most painful because I think ‘yun ‘yung pinaka-ano… because it almost as if... Like, schadenfreude... people want to believe the worst about someone,” Amanda said this as she discussed the weight of the controversy that confronted her back then.
According to the actress, she was never given the chance to clarify the issue, especially since the negative rumors spread quickly.

“And so, I felt like I wasn't even given an opportunity really because it's always like whatever's negative out there is what people will always believe,” she continued.
Aside from the controversy, Amanda also shared that even during the peak of her career in 2001, she already felt that she wouldn’t stay in show business for the long haul.
“I felt that when I was in showbiz, that was never going to be my endgame… I was not going to grow old in showbiz,” she said.
For her, it was only a small chapter of a much bigger life journey.
“I always knew going into it that this was just a portion of my life and that I was going to move on,” she added.
Still, Amanda didn’t forget the people who helped her in the industry. She praised Boss Vic del Rosario for giving her first break, Maribeth Bichara for being her longtime mentor, and the late “Da King” Fernando Poe Jr., whom she worked with in a film and who gave her an important opportunity in her career.
