Miss Universe Jamaica Dr. Gabrielle “Gabby” Henry continues to fight through a difficult recovery in a Thailand hospital after suffering a serious fall during the Miss Universe preliminary competition.

According to an update posted on Instagram, Gabby is “required to remain in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for a minimum of seven (7) days, as doctors continue their close monitoring and specialised care,” following the accident that left pageant fans shocked worldwide.
Her family has flown in to be with her during this critical period. She is currently accompanied by her sister, Dr. Phylicia Henry-Samuels, and their mother, Maureen Henry, who have stayed by her side since the incident.
In a candid update, Phylicia shared, “Gabby isn’t doing as well as we would have hoped, but the hospital continues to treat her accordingly,” underscoring the gravity of the beauty queen’s condition.

The Miss Universe Jamaica Organization has since issued a heartfelt appeal, asking Jamaicans and supporters around the world to keep Gabby in their prayers.
The group also stressed the importance of responsible online behavior, requesting the public to “avoid sharing negative comments, misinformation, or speculation that may cause further distress to the family.”
“Our primary focus remains on Gabrielle’s recovery and the well-being of her loved ones. We kindly request continued compassion, sensitivity, and privacy as the family navigates this challenging period,” the organization added.
Gabby’s fall occurred during the evening gown segment of the preliminary round, where she reportedly slipped and fell from the main stage.
She was quickly placed on a stretcher and rushed to the hospital as emergency teams responded.
The pageant went on to crown Mexico’s Fatima Bosch as Miss Universe 2025. The Philippines’ representative, Ahtisa Manalo, finished strong as third runner-up.
