According to Ellen, she only found out about the incident three weeks ago when someone informed her about what really happened.

In a series of Instagram stories, she said Derek never apologized for what she discovered. Instead, she explained that he deflected responsibility and blamed external factors.
“He blames everything, everyone, but himself. He was able to convince his friends and people that it’s my postpartum,” she said, describing how Derek allegedly redirected the issue away from his actions.

Ellen also revealed an unusual detail—that Derek believed he was under a curse from a former girlfriend.
According to her, he became convinced that an ex placed a “kulam” on him.
She recalled seeing a bowl of salt with garlic in their home, which left her and those around her puzzled.
“Me and my friends, and helpers before were like ‘oh, like ano ‘to? Bakit ganiyan? Bakit may salt? Bakit may bowl of salt with garlic?’ and then sinabi nung isang katulong ‘ay pinalagay diyan kasi baka may nang-kulam’ so parang pang anti-kulam,” she explained.
Ellen even laughed as she said, “Blame it on the kulam.”
