She shared that being “maarte” or meticulous comes naturally to her, so she personally decides what she wants to happen—from the overall theme down to her partner’s attire.

“My boyfriend is really so kind. And I don’t want to be a burden, right? I told him, ‘Since you have a business and I have a business, I’ll pay for what I want to pay for. You cover what you need to cover.’”

Their wedding budget is estimated at around PhP500,000, which Kiray admitted has been quite heavy on the wallet while planning everything.

“It’s already a big amount, my heart hurts! While planning the wedding, I thought, ‘Wow, this is what it’s like to get married? I should’ve just become a tomboy… because we girls can be so picky.’”

Some members of the press noted that the amount seemed modest compared to grand celebrity weddings.

But Kiray was quick to clarify that they are receiving a lot of help from their godparents. “Actually, our goal was around PhP500,000.

But so many people love us… just from our godparents alone, they’d say, ‘We’ll take care of this…’ We are so, so lucky.”
