AJ Raval finally spoke up about the viral memes featuring her partner Aljur Abrenica singing, which quickly spread across social media.

In her guest appearance on "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda" on Wednesday, the actress shared how surprised they were by the overwhelming reaction.

“Hindi po namin inexpect na gano’n po siya tatanggapin ng mga tao na parang ang saya-saya nila sa video ni Aljur,” AJ said, smiling.

She revealed that Aljur and his band dedicated long hours to the performance, even rehearsing before filming.

Host Boy Abunda added some context, saying that Aljur’s musical talent runs in the family.

“Kumakanta talaga si Aljur dati kahit pa nung nag-i-StarStruck dito sa GMA 7. He really sings,” Tito Boy shared, explaining that Aljur’s father is a musician and their family once owned a bar and a band.

When asked how Aljur reacted to becoming a social media sensation, AJ said, “Wala Tito Boy, tawa siya nang tawa. Eh pagdating naman po sa mga bashing, wala naman din po feelings din sa pagba-bash sa kaniya.”

AJ also revealed that Aljur is open to doing a collaboration.

“Actually gusto po nila,” she said. “Naririnig ko po… Sir Tom and Miss R.C. Munoz and Aljur daw po.”

The interview also made headlines after AJ mentioned she now has five children, three of whom are with Aljur.

Aljur Abrenica is a Filipino actor and model who rose to fame after winning the reality-based talent competition StarStruck: The Next Level on GMA Network in 2006. Inquirer.net reported that Jeric, who now has 15 grandchildren in total, shared that the couple’s eldest child closely resembles him. He also mentioned the children’s ages, a detail likewise covered by Bandera.

Aljur Abrenica then responded to Jeric Raval’s statement that his daughter AJ Raval has two children with him, showing respect for Jeric and understanding his perspective.
