According to Athena Imperial on "24 Oras," Dantes recently visited a town in Northern Samar, where he was warmly welcomed by local residents while en route to a nearby school.

“The purpose of our visit was to speak with a case study for this documentary that we are doing under Public Affairs,” Dantes explained.

Dantes stressed, “‘Yung title pa lang, sumasagisag na ‘yan sa mga pangako na hindi talaga natupad and how important infrastructure is in the development of us Filipinos na sadly sa nakita nating estado ay talagang nasira at hindi na ipatupad dahil sa korapsyon.”

He also highlighted the ripple effects of these incomplete projects, noting delays in essential services.

“Hanggang sa pag-deliver ng mga services ng ating mga health workers na dahil ‘yung mga kalsada ay hindi konektado sa isa’t-isa and nadi-delay ang pag-deliver ng mga services na ito sa mga nangangailangan,” Dantes said.

Dantes admitted that while he had long been aware of the problem, meeting the victims and hearing their personal stories was a different experience.

“Iba kapag nabibigyan ng mukha ‘yung problema, nararamdaman mo talaga ‘yung kanilang paghihirap, ‘yung kanilang frustration, at ‘yung kanilang mga pangarap,” he shared.

Through "“Broken Roads, Broken Promises,” Dantes hopes Filipinos will gain a deeper understanding of the realities faced by many communities, urging those accountable to take action.
