"This is Ground Zero in liloan. 💔" he wrote, describing how his cousin, @donikkofernan, visited families who survived the storm and found the community still waiting for help.

He reported that local relief only reached the area days after the disaster, and stressed the scale of the tragedy: more than 100 lives were lost and Brgy. Cot Cot is "just one of the many communities shattered."

The immediate priority, he said, is basic — "Right now, their most urgent need is WATER." That plea is echoed throughout his post.

Guidicelli urged quicker government response and broader public support.

"We need more attention. We need faster action." he insisted, and asked readers to respond practically: "Please, let’s help our people in any way we can - by donating, volunteering, or simply amplifying their voices. 🙏🏼"

While grateful that his loved ones survived, he warned the hardest work lies ahead: rebuilding homes, services and lives.

The post pivots to a broader, urgent question about preparedness: "But what’s next?" he asked, pointing out the Philippines averages around 20 typhoons a year.

He challenged leaders and citizens alike to decide whether recovery will lead to stronger, resilient infrastructure — or whether "greed and corruption" will continue to leave communities exposed and grieving.

Matteo’s message is both a call for immediate relief — water, aid, and mobilization — and a demand for systemic change to prevent future catastrophes.

His eyewitness tone, combined with clear requests and hard questions, pushes the conversation from mourning to accountability and action.
