Sam confirmed their separation in March after months of speculation. The pair, who got engaged in February 2023, ultimately decided to call it off, with Milby clarifying that there was no third party involved.
Catriona chose to stay private during the emotional period, and last night marked the first time she opened up about her healing journey.
“I think being around with my friends and family, trying to see the lesson on things and just to trust,” she said, explaining what helped her move forward.
She shared that she kept herself busy with meaningful routines and meaningful company.
“A lot of traveling, a lot of working, I’m really looking forward to doing trips with my family. Spending a lot of time with my parents especially my dad who is 80 now, also finding time to celebrate with my family and friends and to be here to celebrate Cornerstone’s 20th anniversary,” she shared.
Since both she and Sam are under the same management, crossing paths is unavoidable.
When asked about their current relationship status, she answered gently, “I mean we’re fine… We are not in constant communication but I wish him well.”
Graceful as ever, Catriona proved that even through transitions, she continues to move with warmth, strength, and gratitude.

She officially became the Philippines' first-ever MGI titleholder during a formal coronation ceremony held on Tuesday, June 3 at the MGI Hall in Bangkok, Thailand. Clad in a stunning Mak Tumang gown, the Filipina beauty queen was in tears while she was being crowned by MGI founder Nawat Itsaragrisil. The coronation came after the termination of Indian beauty queen Rachel Gupta's reign. Opiaza was next in line as the first runner-up of last year's MGI pageant held in Thailand.
Rachel Gupta, the former Miss Grand International 2024, recently released a tell-all video. In the video, Rachel alleged that she experienced "constant harassment" from the org. According to Rachel, the organization and its ways are on a "systemic level" as well. She also turned emotional after explaining why she decided to resign from her reign. Rachel is an Indian model and beauty queen, who gained international recognition by becoming the first Indian to win the Miss Grand International title in October 2024. Her historic win at Miss Grand International 2024 in Bangkok was celebrated across India, marking a significant milestone in the country's pageant history.
