Maureen Larrazabal opens up on fears of her non-biological children learning the truth

Actress Maureen Larrazabal tearfully opened up about her fear of the day her two non-biological children might question their true parentage and possibly rebel after learning the truth.

During her guest appearance with Ara Mina on *Fast Talk with Boy Abunda*, the “Bubble Gang” star shared how deeply involved she is in her children’s lives.

“Very hands-on ako. I’m always there kung kailangan nila ako. Every day ko silang kausap, I’m very close to my daughter; 19 na siya but she sleeps beside me,” she said, adding that she keeps tabs on her children’s whereabouts and friends.

“Sinasabi ko ang opinyon ko. Normal ‘yun,” Maureen continued. “‘I don’t think maganda ang influence niya sa’yo anak. Dahil nakikita ko sa TikTok ‘pag sumasayaw siya.’”

Becoming emotional, the actress admitted her biggest fear was that her children might not understand her situation.

“Kasi hindi biological. Ang takot ko, hindi nila maintindihan why, tapos mag-rebelde,” she said.

However, Maureen revealed that her children eventually found out on their own and reassured her of their love.

“They said, ‘We know that you’re not our real parent, but we love you so much that we don’t care to know who our parents are,’” she shared.

Larrazabal, who has been with her partner for 22 years, said they have chosen not to marry.

“It’s easy to fall in love, but to stay in love is very difficult,” she explained.

Maureen Larrazabal is a Filipina actress, singer, and comedian known for her versatile roles in both drama and comedy on television and film. She gained popularity as a member of the all-female singing group Viva Hot Babes in the early 2000s and later became a mainstay in GMA Network’s long-running gag show Bubble Gang. As previously reported by KAMI, Ara Mina took to Instagram and shared photos of her balikbayan boxes. They were not exactly a thing of beauty since termites have already invaded the boxes. According to Ara, it was the worst kind of termites that she has seen. She also showed photos of the damaged items such as unused rugs from the U.S. that were destroyed by the pests.

Meanwhile, in August 2024, Ara Mina took to Instagram and shared the reason behind her weight loss. She introduced the doctor behind her successful journey. Ara revealed that he was also the one who began treating her hypothyroidism in 2019. At her age and height, she said that she's already happy where she is right now.
