During their appearance on "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda" on Friday, the actresses revealed that their disagreement stemmed from a romantic issue involving Maureen’s then-boyfriend.
“There was a time, napag-usapan din namin ito, kaming dalawa nag-away kami,” Maureen recalled. “Nag-stop taping kami because of that. Because of my ex. Misunderstanding, kaming dalawa.”
She explained that her former boyfriend created confusion between her and Ara, which eventually led the "Bubble Gang" production team to temporarily halt filming.

The staff encouraged the two to resolve their differences and left them alone inside a tent, where they eventually patched things up.
When host Boy Abunda asked if the man had courted them both, Maureen confirmed, “Yes, parang ganu’n,” adding that she was still in a relationship with him at the time. Ara, on the other hand, said she was told otherwise by the man.
“Sabi niya, parang wala na sila. Parang, ‘ha?’” she recounted, prompting Maureen to remark, “Ang boys kasi talaga hangga’t makakalusot.”
Despite the conflict, Ara expressed gratitude for the strong bond formed within the *Bubble Gang* cast.
“Kasi nga, ang maganda sa Bubble, kaming, sina Bitoy, Ogie, lahat, all the girls, parang isang family kami,” she shared.
Both actresses are set to return for "Bubble Gang’s" 30th-anniversary two-part special airing on October 19 and 26.
