A year after parting ways with her husband Gerald Sibayan, Comedy Queen AiAi delas Alas is celebrating what she calls her “freedom anniversary.”

In a heartfelt Instagram Reel, AiAi reflected on her journey of recovery and empowerment, writing, “One year wiser, one year stronger, one year freer.”
She added, “Here’s to the woman who rose when she could’ve broken. Pain was my teacher .. Healing is my revolution.. To GOD all the glory and honor.”
To mark the special day, the actress said she plans to attend church and spend time outdoors.

“Magpapasalamat ako sa Diyos at ako’y buhay,” she shared. “Ako’y magliliwaliw today because today is my freedom day.”
AiAi opened up about her separation during an appearance on "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda," revealing that she and Gerald ended their marriage in October 2024 after a decade together.
"Hiwalay na kami. Last month pa. Basta hindi ko makakalimutan. October 14, nag-chat siya, madaling araw sa Pilipinas. ’Yun nga. Sinabi niya na gusto niya magkaanak at hindi na siya happy,” she recalled.
She admitted she was shocked by the timing of the breakup and said Gerald’s desire to have children was one of the reasons for their split. At 60, AiAi said she could no longer conceive naturally. The couple attempted in vitro fertilization (IVF) but lost two of their three embryos.
AiAi also revealed that Gerald had cheated on her in 2019, which caused lingering trust issues. By December 2024, the two had stopped communicating altogether.
Ai Ai delas Alas is a Filipino actress and comedian known for her outstanding comedic timing and vibrant personality. She gained widespread fame for her role as Ina Montecillo in the hit Ang Tanging Ina film series. With a career spanning decades, Ai-Ai has starred in numerous television shows, movies, and theater productions, often portraying comedic and motherly roles. In 2017, she married Gerald Sibayan. However, the actress eventually confirmed their split in November 2024.

GMA noted that indeed, Rayver and Julie Anne are still together in 2025. Ai-Ai then commented and said, "Sana all," which piqued the interest of her many fans and followers.
