Singer and comedian Kakai Bautista shared a strong message to politicians, urging them to finally serve the people who voted for them.
In a video posted on her Facebook page on Sunday, October 12, 2025, she reminded government leaders that now is the time to act.
Those who were active during the election season, she said, should now prove their worth.
Kakai mentioned that public officials, especially in local government units and municipalities, were chosen by the people to serve—not to wait for instructions.

“This is not a request, it’s your job to serve the people,” she said, calling on officials to give out Go Bags and emergency kits since the country has been experiencing frequent earthquakes.
She emphasized that preparedness is crucial and urged leaders to use this time to show their commitment.
Kakai also mentioned Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto for being proactive in distributing Go Bags without being told to do so.
She noted that other cities like Taguig, Quezon City, and San Juan have started doing the same.
According to her, every household should receive a Go Bag, not just selected families.
She pointed out that many poor Filipinos cannot afford to buy emergency supplies themselves.
Her final message to politicians was clear: it’s time to work, take action, and truly serve the people.
