Renowned voice talent and content creator Inka Magnaye has spoken out against online harassment and doxing, taking to social media to defend her boyfriend, a civil engineer working for the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), from accusations of corruption.

In an impassioned video posted on Saturday, Magnaye expressed her frustration over the attacks, which she said were triggered by an anonymous post that led to a "witch hunt."
In the video, Magnaye revealed that she and her partner, whose name is Mat, have been relentlessly harassed online after he was wrongfully implicated in the ongoing flood control scandal.
"I've been harassed all week with allegations and people have been posting details of Mat's work online for everyone to see just because they think he's corrupt," she said, highlighting the serious issue of doxing.
She clarified that while she had been quiet on social media, she had not been silent, as she has been reposting content from credible sources on her other platforms like Threads and TikTok.
Magnaye explained that her reason for not speaking out on the issue sooner was to protect her partner, particularly since he works for the very agency at the center of the controversy.
"When the flood control issue exploded, the last thing I wanted to do was misspeak about Mat's place of work and cause him to lose his livelihood," she said.
She underscored that her partner, who is a dedicated civil servant, worked hard for everything he has today.
She also emphasized that not all government workers are corrupt, stating, "Don't discount that there are good people who truly want to serve the public."
Magnaye's statement serves as a powerful reminder of the dangers of trial by social media. While the public's anger and frustration over corruption are valid and understandable, Magnaye urged people to avoid making baseless accusations and to respect the privacy of those who are not involved.
"We understand the anger of the people because it is our anger too," she said, adding that she and her partner are legitimate taxpayers and are also against all forms of corruption.
She concluded her video with a plea for the public to exercise caution, to not immediately believe every rumor, and to focus their energy on holding the genuinely corrupt individuals accountable, rather than attacking innocent people caught in the crossfire.
Inka Magnaye became well-known after her video that revealed she was the iconic voice behind the in-flight instructional safety announcement of Philippine Airlines just before every PAL plane takes off went viral. She is also shared other voice-overs she did for other companies and outfits. The voice-artist also revealed several voice-overs that some of her family members did.
Last year, Inka expressed her opinion on what is happening between Carlos and Chloe, and the athlete’s mom, Angelica Yulo. It can be recalled that the issue between Carlos, his GF Chloe, and the athlete’s mom spread like wildfire and seemingly overshadowed the Olympic win of Caloy. In her post, Inka vented her frustration in the fact that while Caloy won twin gold medals for the country, his mom eclipsed that by doing interviews and airing their family drama. She also aired her frustration over some netizens in the comments section who kept on telling the athlete to just deal with it without complaining.
She also gave a meaningful advice as regards the “toxicity” of the family drama of Carlos Yulo and her mom, Angelica Yulo. Earlier, the popular voice over artist weighed in on the controversial issue between couple Carlos Yulo and his GF Chloe Anjeleigh San Jose, and the athlete’s mother, Angelica. She asked why everyone appeared to be against Carlos when in fact it was the athlete’s mom who made some noise in the media. In her post, the popular voice over artist imparted an important advice to erase the “toxicity” of the entire thing.
