In a candid post, Diaz called out the absence of many public officials, pointing out that only a handful of well-known political figures joined the protest.

Diaz wrote.

Among those who attended were Senators Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan and Bam Aquino, former Senator Leila de Lima, and human rights lawyer Chel Diokno.

They joined students, activists, and civic groups in calling for transparency and accountability from government institutions.

Diaz’s post quickly gained traction online, with many netizens echoing his frustration.

Some agreed that the absence of other politicians reflected a lack of genuine commitment to fighting corruption, while others stressed that public officials should show solidarity by being physically present at such rallies.

Despite isolated incidents of unrest during the day, organizers emphasized that the majority of the protest remained peaceful.

Celebrities and public figures, including Angel Locsin and Sarah Geronimo, also expressed their support, highlighting the growing chorus against corruption in the country.
