Kapamilya star and Showtime host Kim Chiu could not hold back after netizens bashed her for mispronouncing the name of Pinoy rock band IV of Spades.
Instead of saying IV of Spades, she accidentally said Ivy of Spades while thanking the group for performing their new single Aura on the noontime show last September 10.
A video clip of her slip was shared by an alter account on X and quickly became a hot topic by September 14.
Kim saw the post and admitted it was an honest mistake, saying she did not really know the band.

She then shifted the discussion, pointing out how the country faces more serious problems such as corruption and misuse of taxes.
She explained that even her own surname is often misspelled as Chui instead of Chiu, yet she never makes an issue out of it.
For her, the focus should be on lifting each other up, not on nitpicking small errors. She stressed that crab mentality is one of the reasons the Philippines remains unchanged.
Kim ended by calling for unity and kindness. She said the nation needs everyone’s voices in the real battles against real problems.
She encouraged people to fight fairly in life, be considerate, and choose compassion.
Meanwhile, IV of Spades returned in July 2025 with their single Aura after a five-year hiatus, marking their comeback to the music scene.

As previously reported by KAMI, Kim Chiu has stirred much buzz on social media with her new post. Earlier, Kim posted a video of herself walking the streets of London at night. The melancholic video also featured the song 'Snooze' by SZA and Justin Bieber. Needless to say, many also got curious with Kim's caption about "unspoken battles" in one's life.
Meanwhile, Kim Chiu was surprised and became emotional when her friend, Bela Padilla, suddenly arrived in Cebu to surprise her during a shoot. According to Bela, she traveled despite missing her flight, renting a car, and taking a 4-hour nap before finally reaching Kim's location. Bela shared that since they are both Taureans, they often deal with their problems on their own, but they can always sense each other’s feelings even without saying anything.
