Unkabogable Star Vice Ganda is still in disbelief after bagging his first-ever Best Actor award at the 73rd Filipino Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences (FAMAS) Awards held Friday, August 22.

On Saturday’s episode of "It’s Showtime," the comedian-actor was warmly welcomed by his noontime show family as he recalled the unforgettable moment.

“Hindi ako masyadong nakakatulog. Sobrang lutang na lutang ako kagabi. Ang saya saya ko po. Sobrang saya ko,” Vice said, sharing that he told partner Ion Perez he still could not believe the blessings coming his way.

Vice described the honor as a powerful affirmation.

“Sobrang saya ko. It’s an overwhelming joy, immeasurable joy. Hindi ko siya ma-define. Hindi ko siya masukat. Sobrang saya ko talaga. Grabe! Nakakakilabot na saya. Nakakatuwa. Lord, thank you very much. Si Lord talaga, grabe sa timing. Iyang trophy na iyan, that’s the biggest clapback.”

Vice also extended congratulations to fellow Best Actor winner Arjo Atayde for "Topakk," and thanked Star Cinema, ABS-CBN, director Jun Robles Lana, his co-stars, his Showtime family, and the “madlang people.” He shared how his family celebrated, with his mother Nanay Rosario calling him early and his sister moved to tears.

“Ipinagdiriwang natin ang saya at tagumpay natin dahil tayong lahat ang nagtagumpay,” he said, adding that he never expected the win, only wanting to support his director and film.

Vice Ganda, whose real name is Jose Marie Viceral, is a famous comedian, host, actor, singer, and entrepreneur in the Philippines. He is well known as the main host of the noontime show "It’s Showtime" and for his blockbuster movies such as "Praybeyt Benjamin," "Fantastica," and "The Super Parental Guardians." Aside from being an entertainer, he is also an advocate for the LGBTQ+ community and has a strong influence on the country’s pop culture.

Recently, Vice Ganda and Ion Perez were spotted enjoying a much-needed break overseas. The couple took to Instagram Stories to post photos and short clips of their trip, which appeared to be in Singapore. One of the clips shows them savoring chocolates together as they shopped at a luxury jewelry store. Their trip came amid discussions surrounding Vice Ganda’s “Jetski Holiday” skit during his concert with Regine Velasquez.
